Many victims of domestic violence feel they have no voice. In most cases, victims are forbidden by the batterer to tell anyone what is going on. This "Tell Us Your Story" Page has been designed to provide a tool for you to speak about your domestic violence situation.
Our organization has taken precautions and the liberty to ask for no contact information in order to protect your identity.

Precautions to take before you begin sharing your story:
1) Make sure that you are safe. Safety Plan.
2) Remember that your computer technology can put your privacy and safety at risk
3) Computer hard drives are capable of recording every action taken on the computer and Internet
4) Even if your abuser is not expert at computers, he/she may have someone else trace your computer activity
5) If you think you may be monitored on your home computer, it may safe to use another computer
6) Computers located in a public library, community technology center, or a trusted friend's house may be safer to use
7) Never share your e-mail password(s). However, if you believe your abuser knows your password, before changing it, consider whether that may cause more danger by arousing suspicion.
8) Passwords should be difficult to figure out
9) Consider having more than one e-maiil account so that you have an alternative
10) Ask friends and family to not share your new e-mail addresses
11) Never register your personal information such as your address or phone number when you sign up for web e-mail accounts
